How To Bring Back The Shine Of Your Linoleum Floor And Clean It?

Linoleum flooring is a pretty durable and long-lasting material. It’s really pretty and easy to clean – simply sweep or vacuum then mop with a cleaner (or a few natural ingredients depending on your preferences). Also, you need to clean up any spills or messes quickly, however, you need to do this regardless of what type of flooring you have so it’s not something unusual!

The only thing more specific to linoleum flooring is that it often loses its shine and you need to take certain steps to bring it back. Thankfully, this isn’t hard and it won’t require any special detergents. Today, I will show you exactly how I bring back the shine of my linoleum floors! Everything I share with you is approved by cleaning experts –!

I do the following steps once a week – and I make sure I vacuum the floors once every two days just so no impurities build up! I also have allergies that get triggered by dust and dirt so I need to make sure my home is as clean as possible at all times!

How To Bring Back The Shine Of Your Linoleum Floors And Clean Them?

I always start off with either sweeping or vacuuming. I do prefer sweeping with a rubber broom because it picks up dirt way easier than other brooms and vacuum cleaners plus it’s gentle and won’t scratch the floor.

Next, sprinkle baking soda all over the flooring. Then mix hot water with a cup of vinegar and a few drops of dish soap and mop the floors with the mixture. The vinegar and baking soda will create a slight fizz which will loosen up any impurities.

When you are ready, mop the floor again but this time use only water. That way you will remove the baking soda and the soap residue. Do not skip this step because it’s super important! Continue with drying the floors with an old towel or a rag.

And just like that, you have beautiful shiny flooring that is also deep cleaned and free of any dirt!
